Lift Service and Maintenance

Owners of businesses, buildings or homes have a responsibility to make sure their lifts are safe for use by others; this includes regular lift servicing and maintenance.

A competent person must inspect the lift at least once a year to comply with regulations. Lifts that have a “Person-On-Board” – such as car lifts where the driver stays in the vehicle – should be inspected every 6 months.

Maintaining the lift on a regular basis prevents deterioration. As an example, if your car is not serviced regularly, issues are likely discovered too late and repairs more costly. Routine servicing is cost-effective and reduces the likelihood of lift breakdowns, which are costly and inconvenient. Our belief is that preventative maintenance is better than cure, and therefore we often recommend more frequent service visits when the lift is in constant use or in certain environments.

Why Appoint Us?

The service visits we offer include a 17-point inspection; they are not a “tick box” exercise. The fees we charge reflect the maintenance services we provide which in turn, extend the life of the equipment.

The majority of our competitors offer nationwide coverage, which is usually accomplished by subcontracting their work to self-employed engineers. There are benefits to this however, they are far outweighed by negative aspects like poor communication and disparity in service levels.

Because our engineers are employees, they embody our ethos of integrity and excellent service directly to our clients. A loyal workforce demands a clear vision and nurturing, which is why our engineers are highly qualified and received periodic training to keep abreast with advancements.

As a result of our extensive experience, we can maintain most car lifts, goods lifts, and passenger lifts, regardless of whether we installed them or not. Furthermore, if we installed the lift, you’re likely to be met by the same engineer for the maintenance visit. Our ability to offer this kind of service reinforces our uniqueness – it creates an unrivalled understanding of the lift and as such, issues are usually resolved faster.

Our engineers are supported by a professional and approachable operations team that uses their expertise to coordinate service visits, lift repairs, and breakdowns throughout the country.

Lift Modernisation

Apart from routine maintenance, we offer lift modernisation services to upgrade equipment completely or renovate existing equipment. We have a particular expertise in modernising car lifts, since we can offer a bespoke service unlike our competitors. Some of the services we offer include:

  • new control systems
  • hydraulic units
  • car lift roof waterproofing
  • lift respraying
  • integration of roller shutters

Please contact a member of our operations team to discuss your lift servicing requirements or modernisation project.
